I'm a keen reader and I would suggest the following:

'Maximum Ride' by James Patterson: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maximum_Ride

'The Saga Of Darren Shan' by Darren Shan(Now out as a movie): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Vampire's_Assistant

    'Warriors' by Erin Hunter: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warriors_(novel_series)

'The Mortal Instruments' by Cassandra Clare: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mortal_Instruments_(series)

if you can remember some other authors or books that you liked before, try using the "reading compatibilites" tool on infloox. It will generate a list of new stuff that you'll probably enjoy.

If you like fiction the Maximum ride series are really good. I think they're the best and I hate books.

Not knowing what genre you might like, I can only suggest my all-time favorite book and that is 'The Mists of Avalon' by Marion Zimmer Bradley. It is the re-telling of the Arthurian legend from a woman-of-power's prospective.
