I have a 93 bronco, 302 5.0 liter. I get terrible gas milage. Is there anything I can do about it? Can I get a chip for it?

First off, what is your deffinition of terrible milage? Did the vehicle at one time get much better fuel milage and has recently started to get worse? Has this vehicle always gotten the same fuel milage and you are just looking for a way to get better?
If the milage has gone down from previouse years look at the following:
1. When was the last tune up performed on the engine? If your ignition system (plugs, wires, cap, rotor) is worn this can cause poor fuel economy. A plugged air filter will cause milage to sufer. If the injectors are are worn they can slobber fuel into the engine unregulated causing poor economy.
2. Is this an automatic transmission? A slipping torqe converter or internal friction will cause poor fuel economy, I am assuming if you have a standard you would notice a slipping clutch.
3. Are the brakes or parking brake hanging up? This will cause poor fuel economy.
4. How many miles are on the vehicle? If the engine is worn out, it may be time to rebuild it or replace it.

Have all of these checked before you go looking for a magic cure from a chip or programmer. Good luck.

Yeah the milage has pretty much stayed the same through the years. But I love the truck itself and would like to hold on to it.

You can realize a performance gain and better fuel economy with a chip. The caveat is that it will not be substaintial. Something you may want to look into is an over/under drive. Both Gearvendors and U.S. Gear sell these, they are not cheap but they do work. Another thing you might try is having your differential gears changed to a taller gear. If you drive mostly highway and don't 4x4 your truck you can realize better fuel economy. If however you have larger tires and do go offroad I would stick with the over/under drive.
