If your skin has been burned, peeling is inevitable. But you can put it off for awhile and let the skin beneath the affected skin mature more before the affected skin makes its departure. By moisturizing your skin you can keep the burned skin from drying too fast and flaking away. Aloe based moisturizers are good, as are many other moisturizers. Another thing to do is not rub your skin while applying the moisturizer, just smooth it on and let it sink in, which will leave your troubled skin intact and unirritated. It goes without saying that you should avoid the sun as much as possible, or when you do go out, use a high level of protection or cover up. The longer you can keep this top layer, the less sensitive the next layer will be, and the less likely you are to get a more serious burn the next time you go out.

I've answered this so often--just keep it soaking wet for eight to ten hours. There will be no pain, peeling, or blistering.

Rub aloe on the burn to get it healing faster. It will still peel probably but you still need to get the new skin underneath coming quick. Then to help the pain, wring out some towels in a half and half water and vinegar solution. You could also grate some potato and squeeze the juice on the burned area. It's cooling and helps the pain for some people.

If its already burned, its going to peel. Unless (and I haven't tried this) you cover your burn with White School Glue. Just glue down all your skin, and then it can't peel off. I think this may work.

Rub aloe lotion on your sunburn. And If you have or can get real aloe leaves and split them in half and rub the juice on your sunburn that is the best. Not only will you not peel but it will ease the pain of the sunburn faster.

What i do when i think i am going to peel is put cocoa butter lotion on where ever i think it will peel and i have not peeled yet. I have sunburn now and i have had the sunburn for 4 to 5 days and i keep putting cocoa butter on it and it hasen't peeled yet. Apply cocoa butter lotion to it 2 to 3 times a day. Once when you wake up,afternoon, and right before you go to bed. Cocoa butter is not oily once you put it on like other brands of lotion. The only spot it will be oily is your hands, but just wash them with soap and water. Hope i answered your question clearly and throughly.

Once peeling starts, it's gonna keeep going until you're out of your old snake skin :)
But right after a day of sun exposure, I use lotions, moisturizers, and aloe vera on the effected area. It moisturizes and takes out the heat.
    It prevents from peeling.
But if you have already started peeling, just use aloe vera to heal it and moisturize.
    Stay safe :D

You don't. Just moisten it and gently use an exfoliating scrub in the shower.

Oh, and be more careful in the sun next time.

I've been peeling for 2 weeks now. I feel like a reptile, not to make u feel worse but Ive put lotion, aloe based, cocoa butter..everything and yet here i am still peeling and there are spots that have already peeled that u can see are going to peel again. Sorry its just inevitable. Wear a long sleeve shirt if ur embarrased or just tell ppl to shove it. Thats what i do. its natural and there is nothing u can truely do to make it go away. DONT TRY HARD EXFOLIATION EITHER...Trust me...makes it worse and look awful

I'm not sure you can stop the peeling, but i find using a aloe vera based gel that i've put in the fridge for a couple of hours helps.

The best thing I have ever used for a sunburn, or for any type of burn, is lavender oil. On a sunburn, you can either drop a few drops on your fingers and spread it over the burned area, or mix it with a carrier oil, like coconut oil or any good vegetable oil. I usually use it straight. It burns for 30 seconds, than takes away all the pain, and if used the first day of the burn, will usually stop the after-effects, like blistering and peeling.

Too late. You can apply lotions, powder to relieve some of the discomfort; peeling going to happen.

I have a sunburn, and unfortunatly its peeling. It didn't peel after four days that I have had it. First i had it peeling on my forhead, and I repeatidly put moisturizer on it every time I saw the peeling coming back.
Now I have in on my chest, and I keep putting aloe vera babyoil on it. As far as I can tell, it is helping.
Of course, next time I will put sunscreen on my skin before I lay out in the sun for hours! Hope this helps!
    :)
