CCNA is an acronym for Cisco Certified Network Assistant. Earning this qualification demonstrates knowledge of basic computer networking skills.
To obtain a certificate, you must pass CCNA Exam 640-802, offered through Cisco.
The exam lasts for about 90 minutes and consists of 45 to 55 questions. The questions are a mix of multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank and test simulations.
There are no eligibility requirements for taking the CCNA exam.
The certification is valid for three years. In order to be recertified, you need to pass an additional exam, such as a current CCNA exam.
