I think it would make them crazy. Sort of like Cap Nip Cat Food
-
I'll have to consult R & D on that one. I believe it's due to the peace accord between Tom and Jerry which led to a higher level of sympathy among cats, thereby discouraging cats from desiring mouse flavored products.
-
Because no one made it yet.
-
Because if there was, cats would just toss it all around the kitchen.
-
Because what incentive would they have to catch mice?
-
If there was, they would hae to put little mouse feet and mouse faces in the box, like a prize in a cereal box. That way they can still leave their little trophies on the front porch.
-
How do you bottle mouse? =)
-
I will answer this in a more serious sense.I used to go to my grandparents farm during the summers. The cats on the farm would catch mice through instinct, and feed it to their young and gotten used to the taste, and learned to hunt.I have seen city cats play with mice but did not know to kill them for food.I think they don't have mouse flavored cat food, for it is a new taste and cats are particular on what they eat.
-
Domestic cats tend not to eat the prey they catch be it mouse, sparrow,or as did mine rabbit, they bring them home as a gift for the person with the tin opener. Anyway what does mouse taste like could it be chicken
-
I don't know- it probably smells really bad! I think it would be a good idea though, because than cats would get used to the smell, and would go hunting for them if they hadn't recognised it before. They should bring out a rat flavoured one too!
-
Do you know there ISN'T? If you have sampled all the best brands of cat food and they just don't compare with the delicate flavor of your favorite mice recipe, then perhaps you have a business opportunity before you! (^_^)
-
Because they already have chicken flavored cat food and mice taste like chicken.
-
Because if you had mouse flavoured cat food then the cats would not be able to detect a real mouse while hunting since the mouse flavoured cat food would give out wrong signals . In the same manner like flare acts to a heat seeking missile :-)
-
There should be. How lazy have we made our cats. I can hear the ghost of Morris now: You didn't get me flou-ounder? Heavens to Mergatroid. I'm going to have to be finnicky. Let's bring back classic flavors like Sparrow & Robin. These are the tastes that natural Tabbies like (pardon the pun).
-
Good question. I dono..
-
Because the flavors are there for marketing purposes to pet owners.
-
Good question. Why isn't there cat favored dog food?
-
How do you know it ISN'T mouse-flavored?
-
LOL I think they should. Another thing that I wonder about... When you try to find natural cat food, the ingredients read like it is for a person, cranberries etc. Do people look and not realize at the time that they are not people, and buy it, Or do cats like this stuff? Or maybe it's good for them? I find it weird.
-
I'd buy it if I thought my cat would eat it, but I've yet to see my cat eat a mouse. He just plays with em 'til they die.
-
The cat would never eat it, just bat it around the kitchen floor.
-
PETA
-
...or cheese flavored mouse food...
-
or Tweeter flavoured.
-
Because the people at Disney had their lawyers all over it............
-
Or butt flavored dog food?
-
people arnt dumb enough to know what mouse tastes like right?
-
I don't think cat's chase mice because of the flavor, but because they just want to chase them.
-
because nobody would take that out of a can to feed to to their cats .. ewwwwwwwwwww!
-
Because pet food makers are not selling products to cats -- they are selling products to cat owners. Cat owners might have the best interest of the cat in mind, but in the end they will provide food that appeals not to the cat so much as to the cat owner.
-
Because truth be told, cats don't really LIKE the flavor of mice.
-
Hahaha, That is hilarious.
-
Then my cat would just play with his food. He doesn't eat them, he likes to play with them before he kills them and gives them to the dogs.
-
Perhaps because you'd need a lot of "mices" to put it into production
-
hmm I don't know really.....probably would cost more than normal cat food if you think about it? because pet food is just made of the leftovers really, not even good meat - unless you buy your pet raw food! you can't just get mice off the street, so you would have to bread them just for pet food - very expensive. Also human's taste test the food, i don't know how i would feel about eating mouses??
-
They would if it was actually the CATS buying the food. Unfortunately, humans just aren't that fond of mice.
-
Most cat food is made from all the meat humans don't eat. Since humans don't generally eat mice, there isn't any mouse left over. That is the reason there is no mouse flavoured cat food. Also I hear that mouse meat is rather bland.
-
Marketing of pet foods is directed at humans. Most people would not line up to buy anything promoting mice. That is why most pet foods promote the likes of - beef. chicken, ect ; even though there may be very little of the ggod stuff in there. Also don't we love the cute pictures on the bags and the ads on TV. If our pets picked the foods things would be different.
-
For the same reason they don't make poop-colored toilet paper.
-
because maybe the cats like CHASING the mice and don't like eating them
-
It's usually the feral cats who eat mice.
-
that's the most awful thing i can think of for a cat food
-
Just what does a mouse taste like. Most cats will not eat a mouse but will only kill it or play with it. Mr Bill
