If you don't have an exercise ball, use a child's rubber ball to help you exercise and slim down your hips. Sit on the edge of a dining room chair or some other relatively hard chair. Place the ball between your knees and squeeze it 10 times. Do this four to five times a day. Increase the repetitions to 20 times a sitting after a couple of days.
Do squats to help reduce your hips. Open a door and stand facing it. Hold onto both the doorknobs. Spread your legs shoulder-width apart. Squat down until you are about 12 inches from the floor. Do 10 repetitions two to three times a day.
