because they've been told it's the center on the war on terror and terrorist are trying to kill us
-
I question that ,for I believe it is not justified, because the reasons for entering were wrong and distorted.
-
No war is. :|
-
No Weapons of mass destruction found so probably not. The only winner in war is war itself. Nobody ever wins from it.
-
I haven't heard a good reason yet.
-
No, I really don't think that it is, and i have never heard a reason why i should change my mind... I think it is far from justified, possibly even to a criminal extent.
-
I think it's arguable that it's justified for a democracy to remove a proven terrorist regime and potential future WMD threat. Maybe it's justified if the long-term outcome is better if you do invade, which, due to the Bushies' handling of the war.... (I mean, the dead and maimed now, and increased anti-Americanism, against the possible future threat of nuclear blackmail or terrorism.) (Iraq had a nuclear program, and used poision gas, invaded and sacked Kuwait, and would have been a threat to the oil flow on which the industrialized world depends.)
-
if it is i'm still waiting to hear why
-
It's pretty easy. We are fighting a war against crazy Islamic Jihadists who could care less about who they hurt. We are also liberating a nation that had been run by an evil tyrant who cared about knowbody other than himself. We are also giving people hope of one day being free to vote and live in peace. That is how you can believe this war is justified.
-
Only if you are rich and have shares in weapon making companies like Dick Cheney apparently has.
-
Wah wah wah, they lied....blah blah blah W. is a criminal, mumble muble muble. No more Saddam, sounds good to me. Omeletes...broken eggs, other generic justifications.
-
This war started with a lie and will never end because we do not understand the politics and religion of the region. We need to GET OUT to save what's left of this country.
-
Just go back and read all the news from 2000, 2001 and 2002, etc. and then you won't ask the question. You are like all the politicians who think the people have no memory. How did you feel about Saddam and WMD and the UN inspection teams at the time this all started???
-
My Father In Law does, because he chooses to believe that the people who run the US have our country's best interest at heart, and he refuses to hear anything that doesn't agree with him. If you try to get him to listen to the truth, he says "This is my house and I don't have to listen to that kind of traitor talk. I don't care what they say, Bush is the President and whatever he says is right."

Ha! ... how does one justify murder by invasion ... By the minds of a few pathetic men who make decisions for the majority they represent? ... There can be no justification for any war ... especially when the battlefield is a town or a city like your own perhaps ... where many innocent lives are taken ... Any decision to go to a war should be made by those that vote (the majority) ... not by a single minded few that lead by false reason and promise ... War is bad ... invasion by war is worse ... If attack against you is made ... then those responsible should be sought and singled out alone ... without mass murder of the innocent ... or a conflict without result other than death and destruction to the innocent and their homes ... War is not accurate The terrorist still lives ... Many children and families do not? Israel's method ... to track down those responsible for the attack on their people at the Munich Games ... without total cost to the innocent ... Is the best method of response ... Not invasion by mass force ... A method that can avoid war ... yet still achieve positive results in time ... 1 by 1 ... is much more precise. Intelligent method of any action applied ... Not an attack by false reason to exhibit power or satisfaction. 'We are many countries ... yet we are one race on one planet ... Power by flag should never be applied' No offense intended ... Peace!

It is the power of brainwashing the masses around the clock with lies & fantasies. TV, radio, newspapers, internet, etc all bombarding propaganda around the clock to corrode brains. It really works. My 2 cents.
-
this may be a cop out answer...but while im not convinced the war was justified, i think the world is much better off without saddam hussein in the position of power he was in.
-
Bombing innocent civilians in an illegal war. Do you think it is justified?
-
Of course not, war started with lies and fear tactics of weapons of mass destruction and led to increased stereotypes, fear and racism. Occupation there at the moment is justified in trying to bring about security keeping the peace but enough isn't being done to make their police self reliant. It's a nightmare situation with orphans, the injured and the countless dead. Not to mention the extreme activists that are bound to arise from such an awful situation. It isn't even being handled properly. In the last war there was uproar because cameras were allowed to tell the public what the military were doing. Now not so much cos freedom of press is squashed.
-
No, we actually had Hussein under control. We made him what he was, he know we could take him any time we wanted. He was not what the war was about. I know I'll get DR ed for this but people in the business know he was controllable. Justified and Needed are not the same.
-
"Never think that war, no matter how necessary, nor how justified, is not a crime" Hemmingway. Personally, I think war is always wrong, unfortunately, I'm not evolved enough socially or equipped intellectually, to know what's right, in all situations. I wish I did, I'd run for something.
-
Yeah yo...
-
You'd have to have been there to understand.
-
Not to this point. Maybe to the point of getting Hussein, but not beyond that. Now Bush is just wasting taxpayer money.
-
Yes. Justified for the big oil & energy cartels. My 2 cents.
-
No. I think we should have been in Iraq with Bush Sr. This time around, we started a second war without finishing the first (War on Terrorism... And where's Bin Laden?). And Iraq didn't have anything to do with anything at this point anyway.
-
Only if all the republican leaders are KIA in it!
-
No war can be justified, let's remember the number one reason why wars are made. They are made because of politics debating, and one thinking the others action is either wrong or unjustful. War have been made souly by one man or two man's personal emotion towards another. Lets all remember that wars aren't always done because of politics, such topics like geneside and the haullacaust require war for the freedom and liberation of a country or region's people.
