    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

Fast-pitch and slow-pitch are the two major divisions in softball. Both divisions use a distance between bases of 60 feet for girls, boys and adult softball games. The Amateur Softball Association (ASA) governs these distances and other dimensions on the playing field.

Not long enough, especially since they slap hit so frequently, any left hand batter with decent speed has an distinct advantage, but i think it is 60-65, maybe 55!!!
