    No they are 2 different things. Visual Basic is a full featured programing language that is used to design windows application (in the case of Microsoft Visual Basic). VBScript is a scripting language developed by Microsoft that has the form of Visual Basic but is geared specifically for scripting for HTML pages. Think of the difference between JavaScript and Java, it is similar for VB and VBScript.
