Help answer this question below.
simple answer? i don't think kids should be smoking anything, legal, or illegal.
but that doesn't help you.. try a google search : 'tobacco related deaths', and compare that to a similarly worded search 'marijuana related deaths'
frankly, marijuana has no serious, long term health disadvantages, so the question of marijuana vs. cigarettes is not something worth dwelling on...
a more relevant question is why when you are 18 (19, 21) you can go to a corner store and buy a pack of cigarettes, and essentially willingly partake in a slow and painful suicide, and yet you cannot, at any age, be responsible for making the decision to smoke pot, a harmless act.
our freedom has long since been taken away from us, or we've been tricked into giving up our freedom in exchange for safety. But without bringing up what 'safety' means today, I'll simply let Benjamin Franklin finish this off.
"He who would trade liberty for some temporary security, deserves neither liberty nor security."
so smart you can almost tell he smoked pot.
you children should do as you say, until they are adults, at which point they should be able to do whatever brings them peace and happiness, just as long as it does not cost anyone else the same peace and happiness.
