My kids get the day off of school, which means I will have the day off of work to take care of them! The school had discussed using that Monday to make up a snow day but the principal said, "No, the kids need to recover from the Easter weekend" Are you kidding me?!?!!?

I will be working. But, even back in California, Easter Monday isn't a holiday.

Yeah. At age 16, I got time off for good behaviour. :) Seriously, I've got 4 days' holiday, including Good Friday (today at time of writing) and Easter Monday

In our country, Easter is a great long weekend, ( still in our languishing summer,) all shops and work places are shut for Good Friday, as well as the Sunday, Monday is also a public holiday for work people. the children have from the Friday off, until the Wednesday morning the following week.
