Yes they do but most times it is not a true and lasting love. On rare occasions it will last but most of us experience love so many times in our young lives before finding the real deal.

My first absolute love of my life was when I was 14.
I swear to the heavens above that I have never experienced anything so real in my life. I found out right then and there what love at first sight actually felt like. It's true and there is no way to explain it in the precise way. Everything stops, there is a second that feels like forever, and the world does not exist, there are no sounds. I saw him. And I knew, I just knew that we were going to spend a lot of time together. The best part was he felt the same way I did. It was such a wonderful love. I am so lucky to have known it. Ahhhh, I haven't thought about that in quite sometime...beautiful bitter sweet memories.
Love is the bigger than anything I've ever known.
One thing you must ask yourself. Do you love yourself? You must learn how to love yourself before you expect anyone else to love you. That goes for the guy too. And that takes time, and life experiences and lots and lots and lots of mistakes.
Yes, it is possible.

i suppose love has a different definition for each person. It's not that a 14 year old can't because some can but it's that most discover later in life what they consdidered love was petty puppy love to something they might have later on. hope that's what you were looking for. Ciao!
