  • Hopefully your driver disk has drivers that go back that far.... Win98 uses a totally different architecture for video than Windows 2000, so you are going to have to find the folder on your video driver disk that has Win9x drivers in it. There may be two or three folders in your driver disk for different operating systems (e.g. one for Win2K, Win9x, WinXP) If it's a newer card, it may not even support Win9x. Generally: NT 3.51 and 4.0 use the same drivers (except print drivers) 95 and 98 use the same drivers Windows 2000 uses its own drivers Windows XP and 2003 use the same drivers (but may complain about it) Windows XP CAN sometimes use a Windows 2000 driver (but will DEFINITELY complain), but not the reverse: Windows 2000 CAN NOT use XP drivers.
