  • I'm assuming that you're asking if I ever saw my Dad beaten up in front of me when I was a child. If that is the case then my answer is no. I never even saw my father disagree strongly with anyone in front of me when I was a child.
  • To the best of my knowledge, my Dad was never beaten up in his adult life. The worst I saw, was one time when he was on the sidelines of a Boston Celtics game (he was a photographer), he was once completely bowled over when a player was going after the ball. He ended up with a black eye and multiple bruises from that incident. He also once was beaned by a line-drive hit by a player with the Boston Red Sox during a practice session. It broke his camera and gave him a black eye. The camera was replaced for him by Jean Yawkey.
  • No but he should have been - he abused us
  • I saw him get kicked by a cow and thrown from a horse, but that's all.
  • My father was always violent, and often had a bad case of road rage. So I've seen him fight on the street with some idiots that cut us off or something like that. But that's about all I remember of someone actually fighting him. He's never really been beaten, that I've seen or witnessed rather. Other than that, I mean... there was the abuse. But that wasn't on him; that was him on others.
  • No, but my dad decided to clear out some grass from a running lawn mower and it chewed up the fingertips on one of his hands. Running Lawn Mower Vs. Dad Dad lost
  • No, I don't think he has ever been beaten up.
  • I'm going to answer my own question simply to expain it, I witnessed my father, the man I so looked up to get one hell of an ass kicking when I was 10 years old! I don't know what went on to start it but it was at at a local bar he always went to. I saw two fellas taking him out the back door and i assumed he was sick, I went to see and as I looked out the door, three guys were holding him while the other two slapped him around real good. It ended with them taking turns punching his face up till he fell to his knees and then to the ground! I never felt so helpless in my entire life! He was taken to the hospital and remained there for almost a week! It was very frightening to discover that he wasn't the invincible man I thought he was. It still bothers me to this day! I'm now 44 years old. Just had to get it off my chest you know, talking about it seems to help.
  • Yes, my Mom beat him up and then my Dad would beat her, I thought that was normal in a home till we were placed in foster homes
  • No no need he usually did what he was told... :-)
  • Nope. My dad was never really around me as a child to begin with.
  • I never saw it other than the bruises but my father insulted his best friend's daughter once to another person. It got back to his friend. That man kicked my father's arse all over the place. The man was older than my father so I do not know if my father threw the fight. He told me later that it was right that he take an arse kicking for insulting the man's daughter. They were best friends the next time they met. My father took his lumps, realizing that he deserved them, and the friendship continued. That I know of, this was the only time he was whupped. He was a formidable fighter and he also was very skilled in the mental aspects of fighting. I.e. he could put forth a very quiet "you really do not want to f*ck with me" attitude quite effectively.
  • I saw my step mom beat the crap out of him with a pipe. He had it coming though, he used to beat on her all the time, and finally I guess she had enuff... I don't think he hit her for like a month after that.
  • Not by another person but I did witness him being almost killed by a crazy horse.
  • No. My dad was a big boy. The sound of his voice could cower people into submission. Thankfully, I have inherited his James Earl Jones-esque tone, and it has kept me out of many confrontations. Also helps in my military career.
  • Nope. He was usually the one doing the beating. On me and mom.
  • Nah... I think he did most of the beating up. He was kinda scary when I was younger... Hes much different now. His current girlfriend is a vegetarian and makes him do yoga. Its a bit of a change from back when all he use to do was eat meat, ride with his mortorcycle gang across the country, and get in bar fights for recreation.
  • no. thank goddess! in fact, i never saw my dad fight. which isn't to say he didn't ever fight, but he mellowed out more by the tame i came around.
  • Yeah, actually. I seen him and my uncle (his brother) fight only once though. I was really young and they stopped once I came into the room but I sort of remember it still.
  • No , but I he did beat on me
  • HA....that is funny...My dad is a short guy but he is big...he is italian and I know for a fact that he could take a guy 2 times his size....(you know us italians are short fused(...;)
  • I have a great relationship with my father but we used to get into fights when I was a teen because he drank and I was a typical teen. He beat my ass almost every time. Except the last. I had not been back from Iraq long and was not stable. He started his drunk b.s. and I warned him several times then I threw him down onto a ottoman and it bruised his ribs pretty bad. I always wanted to kick his ass as a teen but when I finally did I felt horrible. He was laying in the floor groaning. LoL that was funny later. We have a great relationship though. I think its because we did fight, we were more like brothers as I got older.
  • lol ya i watched my mom beat my dad ip all the time cause he wouldnt hit her back......
