Whats the best way to stop the bleeding when you cut yourself shaving, and why do these types of cuts bleed so much?

Your face and scalp are rich in blood vessels that tend to be close to the surface. When you cut yourself in these areas, they bleed much more than a cut on your arm or leg. To stop the bleeding, my boyfriend swears by styptic pencils http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Styptic and buys them at the drugstore.

Super glue works great. Probably should use the drug store version since it's more sterile. Be sure to make it bleed a little to get the germs out. Hydrogen peroxide it to further break down the germs and stick it together!
