  • If you are hosting a Super Bowl Party for your friends and loved ones, you may be asked to cater to the needs of children as well. These kids, while small, are also your party guests and should be attended to. In order to throw a kid-friendly Super Bowl party, you need to do a little pre-planning and exercise a little caution to create a festive yet danger-free environment for your young and old party guests alike.

    Have Kid-Friendly Food Favorites

So much of setting the scene for a Super Bowl party is providing plenty of snacks for your party guests to munch on. For the little ones, keep a fridge stocked with juice boxes, milk and water. In addition, keep lots of tasty treats on hand for them to eat. When planning your menu, ask the advice of the children's parents so that you are aware of any special dietary restrictions. If possible, have the kids be a part of the food making and arranging process. This will keep them involved and entertained.

    Provide Plenty of Entertainment

Some kids love sports, some don't. Chances are you will have as many young football fans at your party as you will kids who are less enthused about the subject. Cater to all of these children's needs by providing plenty of back-up entertainment. If possible, allow them the opportunity to have a "play room" of their own so they can run around and exert energy. With all the excitement of the big game, kids might have the tendency to get a little riled up. Have movies, books, art supplies and games on hand to keep the little ones busy.

Keep the Party Fun and Safe

Having kids at your party means taking special care to provide an environment for them to enjoy themselves in that is as safe as possible. If possible, designate one adult or young adult to be the "party monitor." This person should help keep the kids entertained by leading games and providing snacks---while keeping a watchful eye on them. This will help put the other adults at ease while they focus on the Super Bowl. To be fair to all guests, you may want to consider rotating this position between adults, perhaps having a different person become party monitor each quarter.
