<h4 class="dechead">On One Hand: Blue Water.
Blue vinyl pool covers attempt to resemble the water that they are covering up. On a quick glance, they make it look like the pool is not closed at all. The covers do not look exactly like the water, but they offer the closest representation of a functional and open pool. Arguably, this is the most natural state of the pool.
On the Other: Green Grass.
Green vinyl pool covers attempt to resemble the grass in your yard. The goal of the green pool cover is to make the entire pool blend into your yard. This could also be argued as being more natural; trying to make the pool completely disappear and leave the impression of an empty back yard.
Bottom Line
Blue vinyl covers look more natural because they emulate an open pool. The green covers look unnatural because they are surrounded by the concrete of the pool, and likely some equipment or furniture. They draw much more attention to the pool because it is more uncommon to see a green pool than a blue one. It is smarter to blend into the pool area, then to try to pretend it doesn't exist.
