A preliminary study conducted at Taipei Medical University in Taiwan indicates that stevia dilates blood vessels in lab animals, which may lower blood pressure. But no definitive research exists proving a direct correlation between stevia and lower blood pressure in humans. The Mayo Clinic currently suggests that people on medication for blood pressure issues avoid stevia.
