  • Exercise TV is one of the nation's newest trends. This 24-hour-a-day workout channel also has digital on-demand capabilities. Owned by the Comcast Network and New Balance, this channel shows on many different platforms while also having a website dedicated to helping the average person.

    Comcast Cable Systems

Because it is owned by Comcast, it will appear on their digital packages. To find the channel, go into your Comcast program guide and search for it or its abbreviated title EXRC in the program listings. If it does not appear, call your local Comcast representative and ask where it can be located on your receiver. Along with the normal channel, Comcast also offers an On Demand channel where simple workouts can be found. Tune to channel 1 or press your On Demand button and go to Sports and Fitness. There will be an Exercise TV button which will give you access to numerous workouts and Exercise TV shows. Due to Comcast overcharging other systems for their channels, it is expected that Exercise TV will soon be off of other platforms as well. Currently, though, Exercise TV can be found on DirecTV and Dish Network. Check your local listings for the channel.

    Online

Go to www.exercisetv.tv to access their online workout videos and workout plans. The site also contains a community to share your adventure with, personal blogs from trainers and trainees alike and any other help you may need along the way. The site, created by Jake Steinfeld from "Body by Jake," also has a store where you can purchase any supplies you may need for the workouts from television or online.
