  • There are many options to putting music onto an AT&T cell phone, all of which you can do very easily. Depending on the cell phone, you have options of connecting through USB and/or Bluetooth to add music files. These processes involve software and knowing how to use your computer.

    USB Connectivity

If your phone has USB connectivity, there is a good chance that you can put music files onto your phone. If your phone came with a CD-ROM, insert the disc and install the software onto the computer. Once it has been installed, connect the phone and open the software. Inside this software, look for the wizard to put files onto the phone. Allow this wizard to guide you through the process, and when it gets to the step for finding the files, upload the music files into the wizard and continue. At the end of the wizard, the music will be uploaded into the phone for play through the media player. Another option is for phone's that appear as hard drives on the computer. Once the phone is connected through USB, it will appear in your computer as a separate hard drive. Open up the hard drive, and look for the media folder that will be labeled as something pertaining to music or media. Inside this folder is where you will input your music files by drag-and-dropping the files into it. After that, they will be available to play on the phone.

    Bluetooth Connectivity

This is a newer form of transferring music. For phones and computers that have Bluetooth connectivity, open the Bluetooth program on your computer and enable Bluetooth connectivity on the phone. Search for the device on the computer and, once it finds the phone, sync the two devices. The phone will require a password to connect the two devices, and you will have to make a password for both devices, which will be the same digits on each device. After the sync is complete, click on the "Transfer Files" button to open up a window showing the hard drive. Find the music file from the folders in this window and click it to add the file. It will then send it wirelessly through the Bluetooth into the phone.
