On September 30, 2008, Starz Entertainment ended the Vongo brand and replaced it with Starz Play, a service that allows you to instantly download videos. The brand name Vongo is no longer used by the company.
Movies and Television On Demand
Starz Play allows you to access movies and television series instantly from the Internet. The service also hosts special, behind the scenes content from the studios.
Portable
You can watch Starz Play from anywhere you have a Starz Play capable device, such as a Windows PC or Windows-compatible portable media player.
Subscription Service
Starz Entertainment charges a monthly subscription fee ($5.99 for Verizon customers, $9.99 for others, as of early 2010) to access Starz Play. If you subscribe to Netflix, it has a partnership that allows you to access content from Starz Entertainment under your current agreement with Netflix.
Flexible Membership
You can activate your Starz Play membership on up to three devices. These devices can be located anywhere in the United States.
Internet Connection
A high-speed Internet connection, DSL or greater, is recommended for optimum performance of Starz Play.
