how to fix frozen itunes
I have a 120 gb ipod classic. Whenever I connect my ipod to my itunes my itunes freezes and on my ipod it switches between the words "do not disconnect" and the words "connected," I can't eject my ipod because itunes is frozen and I can't restore it either. I have went to my computer pulled up my ipods properties and went to the tools tab for error checking. That failed because when I first check the disk it always says that the disk is in use and I should either cancel or schedule a disk check for the next time I start my computer (it has a progress bar and it doesnt get filled at all). I do not know why it says it is in use because I close my itunes when I do the error checking. after I do it a first time I do it a second time then it appears to be working because the progress bar goes up but it eventually gets to this one spot and makes no progress. When it gets to this spot the longest I have let it go before cancelling the error checking is about three hours. I have scheduled a disk check before but after I schedule it the check disk dialog box goes away and the next time I restart my computer and hook up my ipod nothing happens but the usual freezing itunes. I have right clicked on my ipod icon on my computer and selected format. That failed because a dialog box appears simply saying that it cannot be formatted. I have put my ipod in disk mode and itunes still doesnt read it. I have also went to the properties again for my ipod and have gone to the sharing tab...
