Lay the console on the side. Standing up the console may be causing the CD to spin irregularly if the CD is slightly irregular or shaped odd. It's pretty well known that CD based consoles have fewer CD related issues when laid flat.
If the console is on its side already, then you may need to have it serviced.
you could get a new disk drive.... or you might try downloading your games to hard drive then when you put disk in go to game library and select play from hard drive!! thats the cheapest way ...... cause when you play that way and your disk does have to be in the tray the tray wont spin
try changing it's vert/horiz status. I have heard 360s scratch if they are bumped while the CD is spinning and they are more stable while horizontal. I keep my elite vertical for cooling purposes. it never gets bumped and I have never scratched a disc.
Should the XBox Live mainframe be hacked, is there anything a member can do to prevent having their card stolen, etc.?
