Neither. replacing the battery costs $3 to $5,000.00, they are not really safe on the interstate system and how long between recharging the batteries?

Most dealers that sell this type of vehicle, has just lowered the prices dramatically, because no one is buying them. upfront, the idea of this type auto sounds great, but in the truth of reality, the cars are just not feasible and i believe, not safe for the freeway.

    Personally, I think it's a wash.

Hybrids still require petroleum and also are not great for highways use as they operate as low-powered gas cars at high speeds; the hybrid part only kicks in at lower (city driving) speeds. Plus, I wonder about low-level Ozone production. Ozone is great at high altitudes, but at ground-level, it's pollution.

Flexfuel... I think the problems with production and distribution are not terribly much better than gasoline.

I do not know enough technically to be sure, but i would imagine hybrid, seems to me high octane (e85) would just be further refined normal fuel.

Please correct me if im wrong

  • hybrid is a better choice.
to produce e-85 is just as damaging to the enviroment as the use of gasolene.
