Lower power consumption, longer life.
The only real issue I have with some of the domestic LED bulbs I have fitted in my home, is that they do not diffuse the light very well, being more suited to use as a spotlight.
For use in a torch (flashlight), I find them much better than old filament bulbs, as they provide a clearer, less yellow light, whilst increasing battery life.
Switching to LED lighting can save 40 to 70 per cent of electricity and these lighting can be used successfully in parking lots, common areas of apartment and even in your apartment. A building's carbon footprint from lighting can be reduced by 60 to 70 per cent by exchanging all incandescent bulbs for new LED.

LED's use alot less power. They also have no filament, so they don't blow like ordinary globes. Their lifespan is like 20x other lights
