What ignition system is used on a 1997 Chevy full size van?

1997 Chevrolet Express, 5.0L, half-ton. I rebuilt the heads and disturbed the engine and I am having problems getting the distributor back in properly. I have a feeling that its DI but the shop manual says otherwise (but it has been incorrect on other issues.) Cylinder 2 keeps misfiring.
