  • I sponsor a girl in Africa & I love it when she sends me letters! It's so exciting to have that kind of communication. It makes sponsorship so much more fulfilling.
  • Every one of the freebies that I request/order. I get all kinds of free samples in the mail. It feels good to get mail from people that aren't wanting your money.
  • Jimmy use to always surprise me with little gifts.We went to the P.O. at 11:30am to pick up a package. He was teasing me saying it was for him, I knew from his little grin it was mine, He was opening it saying, I wonder what I got, he wouldn't let me have the box. He pulled out the sweetest kewpie doll I ever saw! (I collected them, Jimmy was the one that started my collection) Then we decided to make a day of it , we went Shopping, Out to Lunch, We had a Blast! Didn't get home till 8:00pm That was on Saturday Jan 20th, 6 days later, the 26th I Lost my Jimmy.

  • Mail: A long letter from my best friend who moved to Washington when we were in 2nd grade, and whom I hadn't spoken to in five years. The letter only served as proof that we'd grown apart, but it was the kind of closure that I needed in the friendship. Email: A random email from a woman in Montana who ran a bookstore. She only emailed me to tell me that her name was the same as mine! It's less weird when you consider that out of the whole world, she's the only person I've ever known to have the same name, spelled and pronounced the same way.
  • a letter i got from my sister when she was in YCP I missed her alot and it made my day I still have it and read it when I'm feeling sad
