  • It all depends on the time of year. In season, they are are fairly cheap, except the citrus crop has gone up in price, especially oranges, because of weather problems. The standard fruits are not that expensive, especially if you buy they at farmers markets or in bulk. And also be sure to buy them in season. You have named all the common fruits except peaches and pears and they usually cost more than apples, bananas and the citrus fruits like oranges and grapefruit. Once you go outside of the common fruits, you will not find them to be "cheap," (like papaya or mango or guava, etc.) The will usually be more expensive since very few are grown in the US.
  • Sometimes Kiwi are pretty cheap (anywhere from 3-5 for a dollar) and occasionally I can get a fresh Pineapple at a good price. Melons too. I suggest just keeping your eye on the prices for the other fruits... the prices go up and down throughout the year, so buy them when you can afford them. I usually purchase whatever fruit I want regardless of price, but that's only because I figure - what's an extra dollar on something that's healthy for me? At least I'm not buying ice cream, right?
  • In season fruits are always cheaper than those not in season but most are still pretty cheap. How about watermelon, kiwi, star fruit, strawberries, blueberries, ugli fruit, papaya, mango, persimmons, passion fruit, pears, raspberries, nectarines, peaches, pomegranates. That's all I can think of. I hope you get some idea from these.
