    I am not religious, so for me it's just a great excuse for a long weekend. But I do hate the way EVERYTHING is shut on Long Friday and Easter Sunday...

    Well the pros are that it's a time to celebrate the Resurrection of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The cons are that many Easter traditions are of pagan origin and really shouldn't be a part of Resurrection Sunday. Ideally I'd like to separate them. I would like to celebrate Resurrection Sunday on the Sunday after Passover and celebrate Easter on say March 23 to celebrate the coming of spring.
