  • College is an important step in furthering your education in order to be able to obtain career goals. Applying and getting into college can be stressful, but well worth the effort. Victor Valley College, located in Victorville, California, opened its doors in 1961, and offers a variety of degrees in health and humanities.

    Application

Fill out an application to Victor Valley College online at www.vvc.edu. Create a new user account before beginning. Fill out the application and print a copy to have on-hand. Wait to hear of your acceptance.

    Orientation

Once accepted, register for and attend a new student orientation day, which is a preparation step for registering for classes. Orientations also have other goals, like college tours, question and answer sessions, and financial aid advice.

    Asessment Testing

Complete the assessment test. Be sure to bring the printout of the application, as well as your student ID, another photo ID and your social security card. Testing covers mathematics, reading and sentence skills, so brush up on these ahead of time.

    Educational Plan

Meet with a counselor and create an educational plan. This is especially important if expecting a financial aid package.

    Class Registration

Attend the registration in order to sign up for classes. The date is given when using the WebAdvisor, the online registration system used by the college. Choose the classes that are required for your course of study.

    Fees and Financial Aid

Pay all fees when due, and sign up for financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, available January 1. Be sure to also look into scholarships and grants that will help you pay for college.
