According to Howard Stern whose wife, Beth Ostrosky, appeared on the third season of "Dancing With the Stars," celebrities are paid a base salary of $125,000 for the first two weeks of the season plus "about $20,000 each week after," until voted off of the show. Also, there is a bonus of $50,000 for an extra recap show. Stern said total pay for the season is, "around $245,000 for eight weeks of work, according to the contract." It is unknown, publicly, if pay varies depending on the status of the celebrity dancer.
