i joke with people. if they have more than one sneeze, i bless them the first two times and after that i say that they are on their own. if theres one sneeze, instaed of saying bless you, i say damn you just to be funny

Pretty much so...it's what my Mama taught me to do...and they usually respond with either Thank you, or and to you too.

I say "Salud" (Health). That's because I work in a Spanish speaking environment and that's what you commonly say when people sneeze in this area.

I say what is considered acceptable and polite in the area where I am. Here in England and in the US, I always say "Bless You" every time I hear someone sneeze, even to strangers, and no one has seemed offended. They usually thank me. In France where I work a lot, and to French people here in England and the US, I always say "A vos souhaitez" which does translate as "To your wishes". In France you don't bless people who sneeze, they acknowledge it by saying to your wishes.
