  • Yes, it's fine to not interlock. Usually people like to interlock because they have a weaker wrist or slightly smaller hands. Try these other methods then do whichever feels more comfortable, they're all good: ¤ Baseball bat grip, fingers just meet together. ¤ Overlap grip, similar to interlock but the finger just rests on top of the other.
  • Its not recommended if your very serious about your golf game, you want you hands, wrists and body to work in a tandom together, so there for you want to interlock your hands together. If interlocking your hands bothers you, try the over lapping grip (varden grip, named after harry varden) this is the grip I use and love it, you can find pics of it all over the internet, to hard to explain!!!   • I never interlock. It is recommended by the Pro's, but I have always found it uncomfortable, and they say to do whatever makes you comfortable.
  • I do not interlock them but merely overlap my index finger over the pinky finger of my back hand.
