Cursor Mania is a software program distributed by Mindspark Interactive Network, Inc. The free program allows you to customize your mouse cursor image. On the surface, the program appears legitimate, as does the company distributing it. A number of websites list Cursor Mania as a spyware program. If you use Internet Explorer to browse the Web, the program installs a special toolbar that is said to slow down the computer. Some anti-spyware programs, such as AdAware, flag the program as containing spyware. Download with care. Be sure to obtain the software from the official site, not a mirror; run a virus/spyware scan shortly after downloading and installing Cursor Mania; and uninstall the program right away if it slows down your computer or seems to be causing any other issues.
