No, because children are our most important resource. They can come up with bright new ideas, and also entertain us. I love to hear them speak

as its the easter school holidays here & my 13 & nearly 4 year old are driving me mad (and its only day 2 of the hols)i`d say yes they should be seen & not heard.
-
no they are the voice of tommorow
-
no not at all. i find it ironic that we expect children to be "seen and not heard" and to only "speak when spoken to" but we ALSO expect them to say no to drugs or whatever else, report injustice and stand up for what's right. seems like 2 sides of the same coin to me.

Heck no!! If you can see them and you can't hear them something in terribly wrong and you should go check it out. Also, how will the get the confidence to change the world if we don't let them voice their opinions from a young age
-
No. I think children should seen and heard. They need to be able to understood.
-
Nope. Sometimes we don't like what we hear, but if we shut them up when they're little, how will we get them to talk to us when they are older and really need our advice? I think children have a lot to give and need the freedom to express themselves... this doesn't mean there aren't boundaries, but communication is essential, and yelling at them isn't communicating with them.
-
No. Not unless they are someplace that they are supposed to be quite. If not, let them talk and be themselves..that's why we have them, to enjoy and have fun with!
-
No not at all they should be heard even if we don't like what they may have to say just remember children are the most honest people and we should be looking up to that!
-
No. Children are first class citizens, and should be respected as well as loved. They should never be talked down to. They're smarter than you think.
