    You need about 11,000 leaves per person.

    I would just like to mention that Vitamin D prevents rickets, not scurvy (Vitamin C helps with scurvy).

    This is a great question. I would say yes, they'd survive as long as they had food and water, maybe a little skylight for some vitamin d to prevent scurvy. Airtight and no plants, they may die of toxicity.
