  • Yes, blood is indeed red, but blood is commonly drained off any cadaver that's being prepared for "distribution". What you're seeing is the natural color of the flesh that is devoid of blood.
  • Don't they spread it with that stuff that makes it easier to cut into the flesh? Like they do for surgery? I can't think of what the stuff is called but I know it's reddish-orangish-brown
