  • I'm guessing it's a rear-projection TV with tubes, not a flatscreen. If I'm right, then you need to have the red, green and blue images realigned by a repairman. Tell him the red, green and blue beams are out of alignment and he'll know instantly what I'm talking about. Background: The full-color picture is made of a red image, a green image and a blue image that are projected by electron "guns". They must line up exactly to make a proper picture. Otherwise, you get the effect you're describing.
