Ladies, if you were referred to as a "bitch" would that be a compliment or an insult? Why?

Id probably be insulted majority of the time but me and the army wives are called bitches occansionally on base by civilans. Our typical response is Of course im a bitch my husbands deployed.

That word gets thrown around A LOT. Most of the time, when someone calls you a bitch, they just can't handle your honesty. To which, if by being opinionated and honest, makes me a bitch, I'd rather be so than blending in with everyone else and being a complete bore. As far as it ever insulting me, there is no name you can call me that would bother me. THEY'RE JUST WORDS. Punch me in the face and I'm sure then I would be insulted.

Insult. I consider myself normal and overall compassionate, not someone who tries to flaunt her confidence around and doesn't regard other people's feelings.

How are you going to say Ladies and then ask that question. Any woman who deemed herself a lady would be offended by being called a bitch, it's the dumb ones that think it's cool.

It depends who says it. I had one of my 5th grade students call me a bitch one day, but I didn't get upset. I just sent him to the office with a note. That's the only time I've been called a bitch, but in my classroom, I rule.

I would never ever consider it to be a compliment. It's offensive and certainly insulting to me.

if someone is being serious and calls you a bitch thats an insult...but if a guy says youre their bitch thats a compliment. or at least it is with my guy friends

Depends. If a close friend calls me it, they are kinda saying I am a bad@ss. Which can be fun. If a stranger calls me it they are saying it in a negative hateful way. Which is a bit rude and hurtful.

Never as a compliment. In most cases I would take it as an insult unless its said in a reaaallyy playfull way..
