  • talk with you doctor or clinical psychologist or pharmacist. i'm not aware of any antidepressants that increase libido. as for weight, if more efficacious for depression, the more likely to be related to weight gain. there are newer subcortical stimulants coming on the market that seem to be related to weight loss. sometimes, after a period of time on an antidepressant, folks have gained weight. if it is an unhealthy weight gain, talk with your doc. also, libido is very important. talking therapy is as efficacious as pills, is more costly for 3 months but less costly over a period of years or decades. AND, it doesn't decrease libido OR increase weight.
