My last relationship was very much like that. We lived together but I only stayed because I had no where else to go. We argued constantly and we didn't even sleep in the same room. I met a man and we started having sex. It wasn't meant to get serionus but it did. I was scared to take the chance and move in with him in case it all went wrong. But it hasn't and I'm very happy. You only get one life, take the chance. I'm the weakest person ever and scared of change, but I did it. You can too.
