On occasion we called it in for our son in High School. Hey, he was 17th in his class.

I asked my dean for 3 days off for a vacation from having a bad break up... I came back worse

Tried that once when I was in middle school. Mom caught me and made me go.

The day before my SAT (college aptitude) exams, I called in sick from high school because I wanted to relax for the test. Several of my friends did, too. One teacher of mine laughed his ass off when he heard and called us all wimps. I aced it, so I guess I had the last laugh. :-)

No. But I have left work early more than once because I was fed up to the gills and it was either leave or smack someone! :)

i call into work "scared". I tell them i'm "afraid" I am not going to make it (for a mental health day). mental well-being is very important. q:)
