  • When I was having an argument w/ my hairdresser and even though I was the one who was wrong I started crying, and then my hairdresser,my mom, & another lady suddenly change the subject & starting talking & laughing while I was crying. & I said to my mom"Im crying & you dont even care?"and she told me to grow up. I am 16 years old and the hairdresser claims that she is my friend. My questions are do real friends treat you like that and was my mom right do I need to grow up?
  • At different ages people take things differently. Someone may take something serious at 16, but when 30 they think it wasn't even close to serious and it was just an emotional time. Everyone is wired differently also, so what is serious to ne person at 16, may be serious to another at 20, or 30, etc. The people you are with need to understand your current level of perception and treat you accordingly. It could also be experiences that they have all gone and know that it is just a growing pain (but they should have treated you with dignity). q:)
