  • Your treading dangerous ground with this question!
  • the answer is black. black black black. get over it alf@#ing ready. jeez.
  • negro americans are black.
  • From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negro
  • Other than specifying the person is an American, it is a redundant statement. When I was growing up, "Negro" was heading into the "ethic slur" zone fast. However, I have had many elderly patients (I work in the medical field) who preferred to be called "Negroes" rather than "black" or "African American." The latest was a guy I worked for in homecare in the mid 90s (he was in his 80s) and ohhhhhhh boy did he give anyone who called him "African American" an earful. He did not like it one bit. He was AMERICAN and had never been to AFRICA and was very clear on that point. He was also a WWII veteran.
  • We are Hybrids and those of us who stress this African connection are just beating a dead horse. My roots go back to a slave owning French Cherokee chief who was wealthy but being against succession he was black balled Even if there were a community of pure blooded who still exist here they still have that missing link, it is language that defines a culture so how can we relate to Africa or Africans? When I look at the reality for the present and the past history and future for Africa i am glad there was slavery it exposed the grateful to christianity.
