Do ducks eat pasta or any soft food left overs?

    Ducks will eat just about anything that doesn't eat them first. That doesn't mean a steady diet of pasta, green peas, or stale white bread or is good for them, nor us for that matter. ( I once worked in a "Waste Water", ahem, Treatment Plant and you don't wanta know some of the objects I saw the ducks there, eat many of them of completly inorganic composition.
    PS If you are trying to get rid of table and kitchen scraps I'd recommend chickens, they will eat stuff that even ducks won't.

    Not that it has a lot to do with this question. But as I am typing this I am watching a duck eat the thistle seed dropped from the feeders on my front lawn.It comes everyday and cleans up the seed dropped by the birds. It is snowing here right now and he goes from one feeder to another, I have three sets of 2 thistle seed bags on each.Very comical to watch. The Rivermayor
