There are hardly any hard working talented women artists left

You know TheRock, I love this question, it points out part of what is wrong with today's female singers in particular. I think they know that the less they wear, the more likely their photo will appear all over the place, more publicity equals more of the green stuff. She didn't start it, but Elizabeth Hurley got Worldwide media attention when she wore "That" dress with the safety pins, and that's exactly what most female stars want, to be recognised for their appearance rather than their talent, shame really. It is rather amusing, and annoying, to watch Beyonce swan around in her video wearing a mini skirt and high heels, and then claim that women deserve respect and that if men want any, they should buy the woman a ring, can it get any shallower than this? Watching a music channel these days is like watching some sick twisted cattle market, where all the best looking cattle are put forward for sale to the gullible public. What annoys me as well about today's female singers, particularly R&B, is this constant self-pity and helplessness, followed up with feigned confidence, and ALWAYS including some sad-arse tale about being mistreated by a man, come on ladies, grow a pair, you didn't hear Whitney and Diana kick about crying about how men mistreat them, they had love for men and were not afraid to sing about it, what the Hell happened to that? Now it's all "He's been doing me wrong", "He's been treating me bad", "He spends more time with his friends", "blah, blah, blah". I got dog's abuse at the time, but I said this about the Rihanna incident, not in any way to defend Chris's actions, but Rihanna getting her arse whooped by a man SHE chose to go out with, is as surprising to me as a rapper getting shot, not even slightly, because it's all she bloody sings about. Great question.

Because us men pay for that behavior. Its a two way street unfortunately. I like more respectable women.

Because for some like Brittney spears and mariah Carey all they have is their sex appeal. If it wasn't for Tommy mottola making mariah into a superstar shed probably be a headlining stripper at some exclusive gentlemens club. As for Brittney don't even get me started.
