  • RIDE IN THE PARK OR IN UR GARDEN OR IN YOUR YARD
  • Ride more on level or slightly-graded streets than on steep hills; ride on smooth surfaces as opposed to rough terrain as much as possible; ride where there is no major thoroughfare/heavy car traffic - that is literally asking for an accident, possibly a fatal one!!; and try to ride where there are fewer pedestrians who could get hit by you. Also - depending on where you're riding, you might consider wearing a helmet. I don't ride, since I'm a free lance pianist and can't risk likely injury to my hands should I fall off. Good luck and stay safe!!
  • Bike as in bicycle? Or as in motorcycle? Bicycle I can provide insight. Get a county map, find secondary county and township roads and stay off state routes. In cities, use bike paths whenever they run near your route. Invest in front/rear lights, wear reflectorized gear. Wear a helmet and put a rear-view mirror on it, check the traffic behind you so you have a chance of evading phone-distracted drivers who'll run you over. Left turns are bad. Use jugment. If traffic's heavy, split your left turn into two pedestrial-style street crossings. Never attempt to beat a car when crossing or turning. Car drivers have a ton of metal around them. You have just a few pounds of it under you. No match.
  • pay attention!
  • ride on a bike path instead of the road.
  • Be sure to use the toilet BEFORE embarking on any type of bike trip.
