Though the link has not got posted under your question, I think you refer to the image in this link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8377922.stm I see nothing objectionable there in the design.

Although I am not into fashions or fashion designers, I think the dress was very pretty and it was nice she chose one from an Indian born designer to have dinner with the Prime Minister of India.

I thought it was nice,but the one the Indian Prime Minister's wife was wearing was a knock out.
