• oh.. I am sorry to hear that. When I was 3 I went to a circus, and that is why I decided to be a clown. But I would not be a scary clown!!!

• if i knew you then, then probably not. I remember when i was 2 on my birthday, there was a clown that just poped up, and i was terrified and i was in my dads arms for a number of hours.

• Hmmm. difficult to say.
  We mostly have the same ones as you - Christmas, New Year, Easter etc. But each part of the UK also has their Saint's Day
  England - St George - 23rd April
  Scotland - St Andrew - 30th November (today!)
  Wales - St David - 1st march
  and of course Ireland (not fully part of the UK - St Patrick - 17th March.
  But these are not public holidays - each country has wee celebrations, but you don't get a day off work for them.
  Then, there is 11th November - that is Remembrance day - again it is not a day off work, but a day when we remember the end of wars - the date was chosen as World War 1 ended on 11th hour (11 o'clock) of the 11th day of the 11th Month. So at 11.00 on 11 November, we have two minutes silence.
  But other than that we only have 8 official holidays each year - look at the link to see a list of them:
