The bible has many verses like this,so they are no more violent then other religions. Breeding hate to any religion is ignorant.

Take a look at the old testament, you'll see that Islam doesn't have a monopoly on killing non-believers.

Anyone that answers this question does not know a damned thing about the religion. There are no examples or anything excpet blind hate.

jesus said "don't think I come to bring peace, but a sword. Brother will be set against brother" etc. In the OT god demands the complete slaughter of entire communities including women and children. He approves the keeping of little girls as slaves. He demands death for anyone not slavishly following his every command and for anyone worshiping any kind of other god. The christian church persecuted, tortured, robbed and killed unbelievers for hundreds of years. Does christianity breed violence?

the dogma introduced by men (and maybe women?) is often violent and rigid and ignorant and intolerant of others. there are sections of the holy qur'an that seem to encourage violence yet others encourage peace. it's the same with jesus and the new testament, judiasm, many of the non-monotheistic religions ... more jews have been killed in the name of christianity than from muslims ... so far. more muslims have been killed in the name of christianity than they've killed of themselves ... so far. some days, i wonder if the only non-violent religion is buddhism? anybody know if i'm wrong here?
